Booked easily online a few… read more days before we wanted to go, but it’s worth booking in advance if you want more choice of time slots as all 6 Escape rooms are popular! Sign-in was simple, all participants scan a QR code and we wait for one of the Games-Masters to show us to the room. Big Shout out to Meg here for being a fantastic host and for providing us with the odd clue when we were struggling! We chose Astro Quest and it was amazing! So engaging, and so much fun! Recommend this 100%.

Out host Amelia was lovely and was clear at the beginning that if she felt we were close to solving a clue, she wouldn’t give us a hint even if we asked for it – which was reassuring for us during the game!   Excellent game, host and experience – looking forward to retuning to try another room – We booked into the Castle Room, as a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children). The room and challenges were excellent (a lot better than the previous escape room… read more we had done elsewhere), super detailed and realistic, we had such a great visit. Our game host ‘Luna’ was great too and made the trip really enjoyable, and she was great when explaining it all to our kids (aged 11 & 9) who have never experienced an escape room.

  This is the sixth Escape Room I’ve done this year and unfortunately the first real disappointment I’ve had (which is a shame because this was my first visit to this… read more particular place). My partner and I did the Sherlock Holmes themed room for my birthday which I was excited about because I’m a fan of the Great Detective. Literally one of the first puzzles to solve malfunctioned, that is, the lock wouldn’t open despite the fact we had the correct solution (and before you ask, yes, we had clicked it twice). I’ve had Escape Rooms malfunction before, I get it, it happens, it’s hard to make it work perfectly every time, but usually the staff have the grace to acknowledge it. Instead we were told there was ‘no issue’ which was weird because, ya know, we had, in fact, just HAD an issue. If we can’t open something despite having the correct solution then there demonstrably IS an issue, made us think that we hadn’t got the correct solution meaning that we wasted a lot of time and rather spoiled the game for us right at the beginning (had another lock malfunction later in the game too but not quite as badly, I don’t know, maybe it was the cold weather). Many of the ‘hints’ came long after we had already solved the puzzles, despite being told that we could be seen and heard at all times (this was a problem on the very first puzzle where we found the solution quickly but couldn’t progress because of the malfunction). A shame really because I liked the room broadly, it had some clever and unexpected puzzles though the anachronisms somewhat spoiled the immersion for me, but I am a stickler for theme so that is just personal taste I guess. Out of the three Escape Rooms I’ve been to in Cardiff it is the only one I’ve had a bad experience at. All in all, I left in a bad mood and it makes me reluctant to go back.

  What can I say we went to the escape rooms on Friday 4th December as a surprise birthday treat for our daughter as she always wanted to do one, as… read more this was our first time doing any escape room we didn’t know what to expect, we booked the Tomb and watched a short video on arrival about how things work etc and regarding safety for covid, then we was taken upstairs to enter the room, and all I can say was WOW what an amazing experience we all had, we all had such a great time and many laughs solving the puzzles and managed to escape with over 3 mins to go phew !! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her birthday treat so much that we fully intend on returning when you’re open after the shut down enforced by the welsh government, if you’ve never been to an escape room I would highly recommend this place as the whole experience and the staff are amazing, we can’t wait to come back, it’s all my daughter has been talking about with her friends at how amazing and great it was, you made someone’s birthday very special so I can’t thank you enough and we will see you all again as soon as we can to pit our wits against another room !!

GORGEOUS set design, just totally stunning. So so much work has clearly gone in to this room. All the puzzles were memorable, none of them were unfair, and I liked all of them individually as well as part of the game as a whole. I have no negative feedback at all.

We are visiting again tomorrow and I’m really excited ♡
